Tai Chi means “grand ultimate boxing” and is the name for the soft or internal martial art originated by Taoist monk Chang San-feng about 800 years ago in China. Tai Chi promotes health and well-being for people of all ages and in all health conditions. Like Qi Gong, Tai Chi is rooted in the spiritual tradition of Taoism. This practice helps develop an attitude of calm, compassion and reduced self-centeredness.
